Laser hair removal with three wavelengths

The laser we use, Supreme Ice Platinum K, carries three different wavelengths in one head — 755 nm, 808 nm and 1064 nm — and can work on every skin and hair type. It cools on contact, so no conductive gel is needed, and the handpiece tip is sapphire crystal, which transmits energy more efficiently.
What each wavelength is for
- 755 nm (alexandrite) — strong melanin absorption, so it suits fine hair and fair skin. This is the choice for areas like the brows or upper lip.
- 808 nm (diode) — suits almost every hair type. It reaches the deeper dermis, so it covers most areas of the body.
- 1064 nm (Nd:YAG) — lower melanin absorption but deeper penetration. This is the safe option on tanned or darker skin.
The choice isn’t made at random. Settings are decided by your skin type and the coarseness of the hair — the same machine, set differently, gives different results.
How it works, briefly
The light is absorbed by the pigment inside the hair, travels down to the bulb and heats it until it can no longer produce a new hair. The tissue around the follicle is left unaffected.
How many sessions you need
The recommended course is 6 – 8 sessions, 4 – 6 weeks apart. The exact number depends on the area, the coarseness of the hair and your skin type, and at the consultation we’ll tell you what to expect for your area. Once the course is done, one maintenance session a year can help — optional, and mostly on the face, where hormones can wake dormant follicles.
