„Cryolipolysis will help me lose weight.”
No. The scales barely move, because the fat that’s cleared doesn’t weigh much. What changes is the shape — the circumference and contour of the area. If weight loss is your goal, we’ll tell you honestly at the consultation that we’re not the answer.
„Laser really hurts.”
The first session is the most intense, because hair density is at its highest. It feels like an elastic band snapping against the skin, and the cooled tip takes most of that away. By the third session, most clients are chatting through it.
„You can’t have treatments in summer.”
Almost all of them you can, on one condition: no heavy sun exposure for two weeks either side, and SPF 50 daily. The only things we postpone are strong peels and laser on freshly tanned skin.
„Microneedling leaves scars.”
The channels are microscopic and close within hours. The real risk isn’t the device, it’s what you do afterwards — unprotected sun in the first few days can leave pigmentation. That’s why we’re insistent about the aftercare.
„One treatment is enough if it’s a good one.”
Almost nothing we do delivers a full result in a single session, because we’re working with biological processes that run at their own pace. Anyone promising otherwise is selling you a session, not a result.
„Teeth whitening destroys enamel.”
The gel works inside the pores of the enamel; it doesn’t thin it. The 24–48 hours of sensitivity that sometimes follows is temporary and passes completely. What matters is the right concentration and enough of a gap between sessions.
„Spray tanning leaves you orange.”
It depends on the solution and the prep. With a proper exfoliation the day before, a shade chosen for your skin and airbrush application, the result is even. Patchiness almost always comes from home products on unprepared skin.
„The machines do all the work.”
The same device in two different pairs of hands gives two different results. The settings are chosen for your skin type, its thickness and your goal. Half the result comes from choosing the right treatment, not from the brand on the machine.
„If I stopped, I have to start over.”
Destroyed follicles don’t come back. If you had four sessions two years ago, you carry on from the fifth. You might need one extra, and that’s all.
„The results are permanent.”
Fat cells that are cleared don’t come back, but the ones left can grow if you gain weight. Destroyed follicles don’t return, though hormones can activate new ones. New collagen lasts 12–18 months. Nothing we do exempts you from a decent lifestyle — it just gives you a far better starting point.
